New TV Shows to Watch Out For - The Clypian

Fall is coming, which means an influx of pumpkin everything, large cozy sweaters, and the premieres of new TV shows.

Scream Queens: This new show is all about a college sorority being stalked by a masked mass murderer. Many are excited for its star studded cast, including the star Emma Roberts, Nick Jonas, Lea Michele, Ariana Grande, and horror queen, Jamie Lee Curtis. Whether it lives up to be an exciting show, or just Scream with celebrities, is up in the air. Catch the premiere of this show on Sept. 22.

The Muppets: Airing the same day on ABC is the first show featuring the Muppets since 1998. A ten minute promotional video has been released, revealing it to be a documentary-style series, with a lot of nostalgia mixed in. Posters with humorous slogans such as “Finally. A network show with full frontal nudity” and “Just another show starring an egotistical pig” also promote the show. Sadly, it was announced that Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy have officially broken up, but the series will be, without a doubt, just as entertaining.

The Walking Dead: The sixth season of The Walking Dead returns on Oct. 11, after six weeks of its sister show, Fear the Walking Dead. Its first episode aired on Aug. 23 and introduced its characters, a high school English teacher and a guidance counselor, as they dealt with the zombie apocalypse. So far the spinoff has been promising.

Supergirl: Former Glee star Melissa Beloinist flies into her new role as Supergirl on Oct. 26. She plays Kara Zor-El, who comes from planet Krypton to Earth in order to help protect her cousin, Superman. It may be another comic book show, but this one promises action and an exciting leading lady.
