The ever busy swedish monster guitarist, Tommy Denander, talks about the year that was, and the year to come.
1. How would you summarize 2012?
- For me a very big year both personally and for my career.
After 9 years with my lovely girlfriend we’ve gotten engaged and will get married on a beach in Hawaii next summer which is truly a magic feeling.
Musically it’s been an amazing journey with many great albums i feel proud of, working on my 2nd season of the huge TV show Glee plus touring the world with Legends Voices Of Rock including Bobby Kimball, Fergie Frederiksen, Joe Lynn Turner, Steve Augeri, Bill Champlin, Robin Beck plus my own guitar clinics.
I finally got to tour Japan and Russia which was very exciting.
My signature VGS guitar, the first in the world with True Temperment frets and Evertune bridge, has become a world wide success.
In all a very good year!!!
2. Will you give any New Years resolution?
- I will give the same one i always do…to do my very best to make every new year the best one so far in life.
3. What do you expect from 2013?
- A lot!!!
I’m finally releasing my big Radioactive box with the 3 first albums including all bonus tracks, a book and some other cool things, i’m also releasing the new Radioactive album plus i’m involved in really strong albums for Robin Beck, James Christian, House Of Lords, Chris Ousey, Ozone, Houston, Ricky Delin plus the follow up with Impera and more than anything the release from my incredible artist Vic Heart featuring Diane Warren, Desmond Child, Richard Marx and a huge cast of A list players!!!
Legends will tour all over the world and i’ve got a lot of guitar clinics coming as well plus a couple of new signature models for VGS.
Life is exciting right now!!
