Congrats, Mista Murphy! NBC just green-lit The New Normal for a full freshman season!
You know, that HIGHlarious Ryan Murphy sitcom about the single Mommy who becomes a surrogate for lovers Justin Bartha and Andrew Rannells?
The network is totes thrilled by all the folks who tune in each week to watch! In announcing the news, Chairman Robert Greenblatt said:
”We’re very pleased with early results of the last three weeks of our fall season roll-out. The strategy for this season was to draft off the promotional platform of the Olympics and then begin our season early and strong. I think we’ve accomplished both of those goals, yet we know it’s a long season and there’s much work ahead of us.”

These days, we get the impression a network could film Ryan vomiting Justin Bieber-ing into a bag for 22 minutes and audiences would still happily set their DVRs!
Between Glee , American Horror Story, and now Normal — he literally can't miss!
J.J. Abrams' Revolution and Matthew Perry's Go On, two of NBC's other successful new shows, are also being picked up for the full season!
