FILIPINO-Mexican Jessica Sanchez keeps gaining new believers, this time in one of the cast members of the hit American TV series, “Glee.”
While promoting the Disney movie “Wreck It Ralph,” the “Glee” actress Jane Lynch commented on Jessica Sanchez in an exclusive report by Yong Chavez from Hollywood California aired on “TV Patrol” Oct. 18.
“I watched ‘American Idol’ like, the entire season last year and I was rooting for her the whole time. I think she’s an amazing talent so I would love it if she came on our show,” said Lynch, who plays cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester on “Glee.”.
Recall that on Oct. 15, Entertainment website TVLine reported the “done deal” that the “American Idol” Season 11 runner-up “has closed a deal to recur on Glee.”
She also praised Filipina singer Charice, who appeared as guest on “Glee” several times in a previous season.
“She’s a sweetheart, too,” said Lynch of the “Pyramid” singer. “We had a scene together—she’s a doll!
Aside from Jessica and Charice, other actors with Filipino blood have been cast in the show including Darren Criss, Tamilyn Tomita, and Kent Avenido.
Before Jessica’s inclusion in the show, she was asked which character she’d like to have a duet with.
Jessica said: “I’m not really sure. I mean, all of them are amazing musicians in there so it would be hard to pick. But we’ll just have to see if anything happens in the future.”
Bulletin Entertainment had previously reported that representatives from “Glee” have yet to disclose the character Jessica will supposedly play and which episodes she will be appearing in.
However, TVLine hazards a guess: “Might she be the much-buzzed-about new love interest for Finn?!”
