TVLine is reporting that second-runner up Jessica Sanchez (American Idol – 11) will be joining the cast of Glee in a recurring role. There is no news as of yet stating the role she will be playing or when she will make her first appearance, but the 16-year-old has proven that she has some amazing pipes and she will fit in nicely with the cast.

She was a standout on the 11th season of American Idol with her versions of “I Will Always Love You” and “And I am Telling You” with Jennifer Holiday. This is an interesting turn of events and I will keep you apprised of any news I get regarding her new role.
